It came as a bit of a surprise to me when I crunched the numbers of my bestselling maps, because the one at the top of the list...isn't a fantasy map at all! (Sorry about the misleading title). But I assure you, the rest are!
Here's a list of the maps that people buy the most.
#1 Pangaea
Welcome to the Triassic period, where dinosaurs played bingo, ate ferns, and punched sharks (I dunno, I'm not a palaeontologist).
This is my bestselling map. I think because it's less "geeky" than the other ones. I sell it in 4 styles, but the most common purchases by customers are the two colourful options. I can see why! They fit very well with a vintage home décor style.
#2 Thedas: Dragon Age
I can't believe how well this one has done. Since the moment I posted it, it has been a top seller. Obviously, Dragon Age is incredibly popular, but also...look at how cool this map is! I love the look of it.
#3 Red Rising Solar System
Honestly, this is still one of my top favourite book series. Red Rising took the world by storm, combining sci-fi and fantasy in a Roman-esque epic. This was one of my most fun maps to make because it's so different from all my other ones.
#4 Faerun
Of course, the Dungeons & Dragons maps do very well, especially my laminated copies, where Dungeon Masters and players can write on locations using whiteboard markers. The next two top sellers are from D&D-related campaigns.
#5 Exandria
From the long-running Critical Role D&D actual play, The Realms of Exandria maps explore vast landscapes, with each campaign focusing on a particular continent.
#6 Middle Earth
It would be impossible not to mention the iconic fantasy map, the map of Middle Earth from Tolkein's Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
#7 Erilea: Throne of Glass
Lastly is the map from the Throne of Glass book series. I haven't read the series myself (okay, I read the first book and then gave up, I'm sorry), but it must be loved by many because this map flies off the shelf!
